Aftercare
Your ring is designed to be worn and loved every day. With a little care, it will stay looking beautiful for years to come.
Cleaning
I recommend cleaning your ring once a week with warm water, a little washing up liquid and a soft toothbrush. Gently brush around and underneath the stone to remove any build up, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth.
Everyday Wear
Your ring is made for everyday wear, but I'd recommend taking it off when exercising, swimming, gardening or doing anything involving heavy lifting or chemicals.
It's also best to put your ring on after applying lotions, perfumes or skincare products.
Polishing & Check Ups
I offer complimentary polishing for all Olivia's Edit engagement rings, whether they're made in gold, platinum or silver.
Over time, your ring will naturally pick up little scratches and marks. This is completely normal and part of wearing jewellery!
If you'd like to bring your ring back for a polish, just email me at olivia@oliviasedit.com and we can arrange a visit to my Shoreditch studio. I'll also check that your stones are nice and secure.
Resizing
All gold and platinum engagement rings include one complimentary resize.
I'd recommend wearing your ring for at least a week before deciding whether it needs adjusting, as finger sizes naturally change with temperature and throughout the day.
Within reason, all rings can be resized, although ideally not by a significant amount. Just get in touch and we can work out what's best!
Warranty
Every Olivia's Edit engagement ring comes with a 12 month warranty covering manufacturing defects, including any issues with craftsmanship or stone settings.
If something isn't quite right due to a manufacturing fault, I'll arrange for it to be repaired or replaced at no cost to you.
The warranty doesn't cover general wear and tear, accidental damage, or damage caused by knocks, improper care or work carried out by another jeweller.
If you ever notice a stone feels loose or something doesn't seem right, please stop wearing your ring and get in touch with me as soon as possible. I'll always be happy to take a look and advise on the best way forward.
