Vermeil Gold:

Gold-plated jewellery has a thin layer of gold (under 1 micron) over any base metal, which can turn skin green. Vermeil has a thicker layer (4-6 microns) of gold over sterling silver, making it more durable and skin-friendly.

I offer a re-plating service on all Vermeil gold, which costs upwards of £30+ depending on the piece weight and takes 2 weeks.
