After Care

How to keep your precious jewellery looking its best.

925 Sterling Silver:

This metal is well-known for its durability, making it suitable for everyday wear. However, to maintain its shine, it does require some care. To keep your sterling silver looking its best, regularly clean it with a mild dish soap like Fairy Liquid, warm water, and a soft toothbrush or use an ultrasonic cleaner.

9ct Gold:

9ct gold is a timeless and durable metal designed to last a lifetime. Known for its heirloom quality, it is resistant to tarnishing. To maintain its shine, clean your gold jewellery with a mild dish soap like Fairy Liquid, warm water, and a soft toothbrush, or use an ultrasonic cleaner.

Luxury care tip for solid gold & silver:

If you wear a lot of jewellery I recommend getting an ultra-sonic cleaner. I have this one and I love it for making your jewellery look professionally polished and brand new again. Gisaae Ultrasonic Cleaner

Vermeil Gold:

Gold plated jewellery has a thin layer of gold (under 1 micron) over any base metal, which can turn skin green. Vermeil has a thicker layer (4-6 microns) of gold over sterling silver, making it more durable and skin-friendly. To maintain vermeil, avoid water, chemicals, and abrasives; clean with a soft tooth brush and warm fairy liquid.

The lifespan of the ring is dependent on care. I offer a re-plating service on all gold vermeil rings, this is available for a small fee.

Vermeil gold care tips:

1. Store your jewellery in a dry place.

2. Avoid wearing your jewellery while swimming and showering.

3. Remove your jewellery before applying lotions, perfumes, or hair products to prevent buildup and tarnishing.
